Founded in 1975 by John M. Rivers Sr. and John M. Rivers Jr., the John M. Rivers Communications Museum originally showcased WCSC’s broadcast equipment. The Museum moved to the College of Charleston in 1988, thanks to an endowment from the Rivers family.
